What Is A Hipster?!
I've been hearing the word "hipster" a lot lately and I really wish someone would just let me in on the meaning/secret. Is it a modern-day hippie? Or just someone who wears scarves all the time? *ponders*
I have just wikipedia'd it, and it says:
Hipster is a slang term that first appeared in the 1940s, and was revived in the 2000s and 2010s to describe types of young, recently settled urban middle class adults and older teenagers with interests in indie rock, independent rock, magazines such as Vice and Clash, and websites like Pitchfork Media.
Apparently THIS is a modern hipster, but honestly, he just kind of reminds me of "Where's Waldo". Anyways, it seems like an easy group to get into- so long as you read the right magazines and listen to the right kind of music. But does someone tell you that you're a hipster? Or do you just know? Can you feel it in your heart? Do they have hipster clubs, where they see who has the rarest outfit, or whatever? Isn't it basically that you listen to your own kind of music and do your own thing other than what is mainstream? Doesn't that make us ALL hipsters on the inside? Not that I care to be one. Do they do drugs? Is that a qualification too? But I'm willing to bet that the only people able to answer my questions would be hipsters themselves, and they probably wouldn't be too willing.

Or something like that. I don't know. I've never met one. Or maybe I have, but I just didn't know. Maybe it's forbidden to call yourself a hipster. Forget it. I have no clue what I'm talking about. I guess that's the way THEY want it.

I saw Minho's... It was pretty hot. I actually can't believe I forgot his since he was my first Bias from SHINee... Well, then Onew took over, lol.
ReplyDeleteHmm... Your Beautiful is a really good one. It has the singer of FT Island in it (his character is so lovable and funny), the singer of CN Blue and another famous singer as the lead. Its about a girl who has to join a band as her twin brother while he is in america and has to hide she is a girl though she falls for a member while another band member realizes she is a girl and falls for her and yeah... its really cute and funny.
ReplyDeleteThere is also My girlfriend is a gumiho... its about a guy who lets out a fox-girl from a painting. she is a fox w nine tails but can form human and wishes to be human, the doctor in the show is really really cute!
Dream High is about a music school. It has two guys from 2PM, a girl from T-ara and a girl from Miss A, and IU... and the 'Country Pumpkin' guy is really cute but its sad because (spoiler!!)... he starts to go deaf...There is a lot of backstabbing, love and comedy in it and the songs are amazing. Its about the outcasts of the school going against the odds and showing they have what it takes.
Boys Before Flowers is about a girl that isnt from a wealth family that gets thrown into a school of highclass... she stands up to the guys that bully and run the school to only have the main guy she cant stand fall for her...
Those are some you might be interested in, if you watch those and like them I'll give you more. =)
