The Pajama Game Is Killing Me

Oh, are you in the musical, and you're finding it hard to handle the stress? Is that the problem? Yeah, I wish. We watched The Pajama Game in choir, and I gotta say, that is THE MOST annoying musical I've ever seen! I'm usually very agreeable, I try to stay open-minded, and I like most things. But I have never disliked a movie so much! They're also putting on the musical at my school! Just great! But this is what makes me...detest it.

• The songs have no substance whatsoever. They could have tried a bit harder to make them have meaning at all.
• Everyone is overexcited about random things. And I know, that's standard in musicals, but I have never seen it done with that much enthusiasm before-unnecessary enthusiasm.
• The lines they say in the movie make it SO incredibly obvious that it was made to be a musical because people say things like "See here," or "Why," or "Now wait just a minute!" at the beginning of sentences.
• The "dancing" they do? I don't even want to get into it.

Honestly, it's no particular person that annoys me. I'm sure the actors were just doing their jobs. I love Doris Day, but she was in this, and I didn't like it. She's usually very pretty in movies (or WAS), but I couldn't handle her haircut.

I guess I just have it out for the writer.
