Technology And Me. It's A Love-Hate Relationship.

Today in chemistry, instead of doing something on laptops, we used the class set of iPads that the science department now has! How insane! They had a technology grant, so that's what they got. I'm assuming iPads are cheaper than laptops, though I've never ventured to buy either one. But it raises the question- how much do we rely on electricity and tech stuff? I love surfing the web and all, but every time I do it for too long, I feel bad later for having wasted lots of time unproductively. If the electricity was to go out, how many things would I be without? Lights, the computer and laptop, and the Nook (no Internet, no Nook), the straightener, the fridge, oh my goodness, I would just die! Not really. But that's how some people feel. I can't survive without my cell phone! If I had a nickel for every...
At any rate, it seems dumb to frown on iPads but not laptops. They do the same things, but one is more modern. Still, I wish human-to-human interaction was like it used to be. Before I was born. I would much rather recieve a letter in the mail than just an email. It's just so impersonal. But I am pretty sure others feel this way too. IN MY OPINION, people's use of their techie toys should be regulated. How many nights have I stayed up doing random things before I would get to my homework? It's enough to make me ashamed. In the spirit of this, I shall immediately leave the computer once I am done here.

  2. OMG SO TRUE.
I blog too much, and Facebook too much, I admit. and Tweet too much.
    THE INTERNET *IS* TEENAGERS.
It literally takes over our lives.

I mean, its resourceful and all, but letters would be nice, too. ;)
    Still.
Its true that teenagers rely on technology to be teenagers.
Without cell phones, iPods, and computers, a person wouldnt even be considered a teenager, they'd be a mormon or something, in the eyes of other teenagers.
    its so materialistic...
    still, i love blogging hahaha
and its a good tool to keep in touch with people!
but it IS taking up our lives.
    xoxo
