I Never Thought I Would...

  • Be as good as I am at clarinet now! A year ago, I was stuck with a lame clarinet, and I didn't play well on it. Maybe that held me back, or maybe getting a new one gave me confidence that I could hone my skills and do well. But now I have an R13, and I am going to Area tryouts! (This will only be understood by band geeks.) Perhaps moving up to the top band in the school motivated me to do better, to try to keep up with the other kids. Because for some reason, my school, especially my section, is very competitive, so you have to be always practicing to be at their level. And now that I have a good clarinet, I do. I also got braces in the past year, so maybe those help me play better also. In that case, I'll keep them on until I graduate high school! No, that's lame. Even I'm not THAT committed to band.
  • Be able to throw a party and actually have a good turnout, but I've done that now too! It's not like I'm anti-social, or even self-conscious. I just didn't think I had enough friends that would care to come to a party, but I guess I'm proving myself wrong a lot nowadays.
  • Do creative things with mu hair. Like every young girl, from year to year, I would always have one hairstyle that was used for every occasion. But now, I have like seven. SEVEN!! And I do them well, too! Man, I am really coming into my own. I now consider myself a true lady.
  •  And that's about it. <><><><><>
