Gotta Love That Disney Flick!

Shout out to my Disney girls out there! I'm assuming if you're a die-hard fan, you've seen Frozen already. And if not, you need to handle that business right away! It is the cutest thing! The songs are so catchy, the characters so real, and it's really funny and adorable. I LOVE the song "Let It Go" that Elsa sings; I'm pretty sure it's the next "I See The Light", if you know what I'm saying. I would just like to point out that I think Elsa is the best Disney princess to date, and I'll tell you why. Yes, I love Anna as well - she's cute and charming and spunky and relatably awkward and just great. But as far as princesses go, I'm all for Elsa. REASON #1: Her dress is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. I know that shouldn't factor into it that much, but for Disney princesses, you gotta admit it's important. And her dress is like, my all-time dream dress! I remember when I was little, there was this light blue skirt I had that had a single layer of white mesh over it, and it was kind of a long skirt made for girls older than I was, so I wore it as a strapless dress. That was my favorite thing ever! I would wear it around the house at every opportunity (every little kid has that one costume that they love so much they wear it all the time). And seeing this movie and that stunningly beautiful dress just made my dreams come true! I'm going to HAVE to dress up as her for Halloween eventually - it's inevitable. REASON #2: She's the only princess that has a "superpower". No one else can do anything; they're all just normal people. And even though she had trouble with her power (*SPOILER ALERT*) she figured out how to control it by the end. And I'm a winter baby myself (honestly, though, who doesn't love the winter?) so that'd be a sweet power to have. Especially since I live in Texas. Like, we are in the middle of December, and it is 76 degrees outside! It's ridiculous! So I could use that power to make it actually snow, and everyone would be so happy! How useful would that be. Along with that power, Elsa isn't bothered by the cold, as in she doesn't get cold herself, and that would also be really useful. REASON #3: She has a sister (yes I know that also applies to Anna, but at least Elsa's the older sister, which is obviously the better position to be in). The love each other a lot, and no other princess has a sibling that close. That's kind of essential for girls sometimes; I know for a fact that I personally need a sister to tell everything to. It's so great. REASON #4: She's already queen. I know other princesses would be too, but Elsa's like the Queen of England - SHE calls the shots. And I know that's the same thing for Merida in "Brave", but she's still young and is controlled by her parents. Obviously it's not ideal that Anna & Elsa's parents died, but I'm just saying, the girl's got a lot of power in her hands. I wouldn't use that power for selfish things, but it would be good to be able to make a difference. REASON #5: Her hairstyle is both beautiful and practical. It's loose so it looks elegant and lovely, but it's pulled back so it's always out of her face. In conclusion, if I had to be any of the princesses, I would be her. That's not to say I don't want a prince in the mix - any of them would be great (I'm thinking of Aladdin and FLYNN), but Elsa can still get with a guy. She can still find her prince - or king. But to tie back in to the point of this post, the movie is great. They're facing problems that are hard to handle, and we can understand why both sisters do what they do. All of Elsa's actions make so much sense, and the film as a whole makes quite a statement. Point is, I love it!
